Greetings ye faithful.
I first want to direct you to an interview I did with the brilliant, visionary painter Christopher Mir who lives and works in Hamden, Connecticut. Chris is an artist I have admired ever since his solo show at the Wad in Hartford a couple years back. I was supremely fortunate and blessed to visit him in his studio and enjoy a long conversation about his work. We discussed Buddhism, art history, ecstasy, Mormons, surrealism, you name it. New American Paintings magazine sent me down, on assignment for their brand new blog, a thing I am happy to be working with. You can read that here. Please do.

Christopher Mir, Hamden.
And now, party updates:

Babe Sarah, at BarLola the other night for our newly founded book club. Sarah does everything I want to do in life and makes it all seem so simple. She barely works, reads tons of books all day, gets super drunk but never acts sloppy, is taller than me, flips her hair back and forth, and admits herself into the ER sometimes for extra bad hangovers. I sincerely can't think of anything more glamorous.

Jim at book club.
ZUZU on Tuesday night, Hartford does Cambridge:
