GROUP HUG

Last night, went over to Group Hug at Enormous Room. Brian was spinning records for a short set but mostly we were just admiring the very handsome room full of bears. Michael Brodeur and his hot partner Evan Garza started the monthly night and its been super loungy and cute. Its fun to watch Garza circle the room over and over again visiting and tending to guests.

In other news, I was recently in Hartford and good Lord was it nice to be back. I miss it so. I miss the few people doing all of their good work down there. I miss the willing party enthusiasm, the positivity, the small scene of tastemakers known as the Hartford Party Starters Union. Their party Friday night at the warehouse with Kingdom and Rizzla was so much fun in a rare semi-revelatory way. I was clairvoyant for a moment and full of forgiveness. I felt good about the future from what I could see and hear, and I was loving everybody around me. Yes, I was that faggot assigning metaphysical realness to a dancefloor.

Rebecca and I drove down after I got out of work and didn't even arrive until midnight. It was worth it. I also, very regrettably, forgot my camera in Boston.
