THIS JUST IN: I'M A TOTAL FAG.

Skylar Hughes' drawing.

I just want the world to know that I let Bob Calafiore talk me into doing taped interviews with Hartford Art School's best looking students for their promotional material. They are viewable on the website now. Here's a link to my personal favorite, where I very un-subtly try and flirt with Skylar Hughes and ask him about his art. You can find more profiles by clicking the "Student Profiles Search" link at the top of that page and then by clicking on the different departments below. Greg Surman, the genius who shot and edited Weekend Party Update TV (more episodes soon, I promise) edited and formatted these segments for the internet. The embarrassment just never ends.

Oh jeez, the Kevin Kelly and the Parker Hu ones are good too.

A few things to keep in mind: I was secretly drinking the whole day of taping, prior to that day I had either successfully or unsuccessfully tried to makeout with most of these kids, and I can't remember if the school has paid me for my services but I don't think they have (WINK WINK NUDGE NUDGE, UHA OFFICE OF HUMAN RESOURCES. I KNOW YOU'RE READING... ;-)

Hi there,

We've begun a new blog in an attempt to create one location where blogs by people who live in Hartford proper and write about Hartford are gathered.

We found you either because we read you, we found you through a google search, or you were linked to another blog that we read. We linked to you because we like your blog.

We've found that there are plenty of really good blogs out there devoted to Connecticut (or even Hartford) politics and news -- but we couldn't find any one place where you can find links to Hartford bloggers that blog about life in Hartford (among other things, obviously. No hard rules.)

Our plan is to link to and provide an RSS feed (when available) to blogs of people who are: residents of Hartford proper (none of that "and environs" stuff) and who write about life in Hartford (culture, events, art, news, politics, nonsense, observations, most anything goes) as part of their normal posting (it doesn't have to be every day or every week). This week our write-up links to A Bird in the Hand, Ladies in Waiting, Live in Hartford, Mira Hartford, Real Hartford, The 40 Year Plan, and Weekend Party Update.

We will, on a weekly basis, summarize and link to Hartford-specific topics written by the folks on our blogroll. We took a first stab at it today, so you can check it out and get a sense of what we're looking to do.

If you have a longer post you would like posted in full, just let us know.

If you know of another blog that looks like one we’re looking for, we'd love to hear about it from you. This was just our first shot at it -- we expect and hope the list will grow.

If you don't want us linking to you, etc., feel free to tell us to buzz off. (But that will probably eliminate any shot you had at being invited to Thanksgiving it our place.)

Thanks!

a) leaving lengthy advertisements in someone's comment section is super gay

b) why won't they let you take a vacation?
