2 PHAT 2 CARE

We wanted it to be Friday night last night so bad, but unfortunately the calendar informed us that it was only Wednesday. Alice, Dave, Phoebe and I went to Barcelona last night for a couple glasses of wine. Brian F. and Calvin met us later. It was uneventful, other than when we all took turns discussing love gone wrong and the joys of texting in bed late at night.

Oh, then we met these nice girls who said that they are opening a new franchise, Metropark, at WestFarms and they were wondering where we bought our clothes. I told her I went on shopping trips to Europe once a month and Brian said that mostly he just accepts expensive gifts. I took a gander at their website and I can't imagine wearing any of this crap. I've just had it up to here with Ed Hardy and the rest of Southern California's insistence on screenprinting, embroidering, and distressing EVERYTHING. The gays, the metros, and the sororities love that stuff though, so they'll probably make money. Maybe if they were opening a Dries Van Noten or Raf Simons outlet I would be interested. Knowing me I'll probably go check it out, anyway.

Tomorrow night, 80s dance party in New Britain at Arkadia night club on Broad Street. I'm really looking forward to this for a number of reasons. Arkadia is in the heart of New Britain's little Poland, which when the Pols go out, they go all out. The Dream Team is spinning, Murray Flexor is playing, and finally this is something new and different to do on a Friday.
